I do believe that this could possibly be even worse than you think, Tuttsi. There are now lovely people out there calling numbers either from a stolen or sold-on list, or even just randomly-generated. They tell you that they are due a refund, and that they are going to make sure you get it. Nice. Why not ? Go for it.

Of course - they won't ask for a PIN, that's a NO-NO. But - for YOUR protection, they will ask for proof that you have the card in your possession, and will ask you for 'authentication' in the form of the expiry date and/or security code to prove that you are the actual cardholder.

This is all for your own security, you understand - just to make sure that YOUR money doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

Once they have that info, they will then assure you that your refund will be processed, and that you will hear from them shortly. Have a nice day, and thank you for your co-operation.

You will then probably find that you have purchased something which you never ordered, and which never arrived.

These people are a nuisance, i have 3 calls from 01709758400, silent when i answered, [looked on who calls me] debt management , apparently, but silent,one from private caller, and one from just 0 no
A call from an asian sounding person who asked for me by name, i asked who are you, he hung up
My phone has a bar key, so i did lol
