    Hello there everyone,
I had a phone call from cento client review last week offering to reclaim money from ppi and credit cards and loans.
I put them off from taking an initial fee of £149.99 then 30% of the return saying i would not agree to anything untill i had spoken to my husband.
They agreed to phone back on the wednesday at 4pm but never did so i checked them out on line and found you guys.Just wanted to say thanks for being here.

    Hi Carolann

Thankyou for posting and a very warm welcome to Legal Beagles.

All of what they told you can be achieved on here for free and you are in control of your claim and more importantly your personal data.

Take a look around the forums and post in the relevant section ie PPI, Credit Cards and loans and one of the team or members experienced in that field will help you.

If you need any advice just ask.

I just feel for the people who aren't able to check out these things on line and find info on them. There must be many and I know for a fact, there are many so called PC savvy kids that can't get past Facebook and the such so are still clueless.

I phoned the FSA today about our ppi as our financial advisor is spending some time at Her Majesties Pleasure. They told me i could phone The Financial Ombudsman of which i did,to be told to phone FSA who have a special fund. They are investigating the advisor and i have to send copies of what i have and write a letter why i think it was sold unfairly. Do i just write an ordinary letter.all help appreciated

I take it the FSA are investigating the advisor, but he is spending time at HMP.
So are you writing to the FSA or the FOS?

The FOS would normally be the one to deal with mis-sold PPI claims on behalf of claimants. Here is a link to their fact sheet http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.u...-insurance.pdf
which may help you. There should also be a form on their web site for complaints which you should complete.

We also have a PPI section http://legalbeagles.info/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=125

I expect one of the team will be along to help you further.

              Re: Cento

I think the confusion is that the FSA are still investigating and as such he is still trading according to them so then a standard misselling of PPI claim should be made through the FOS. The FOS will consider him to have stopped trading hence chucking you back to the FSA. Policies missold by independent financial advisers from are subject to mis-selling compensation from the IFA, or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the IFA is no longer trading.

You should be fine just explaining the circumstances, that you feel you were missold the PPI policy and the reasons for that (have a look at the PPI template letters for how to word that if you like). Because he is no longer trading and most likely going to be banned you may have to wait until that investigation is concluded, plus if he has no assets or money then you are looking at the FSCS paying out, which again has to wait till he is banned (or not), so yep the FSA are the peeps you need to deal with for now.

Thanks again for your help and time will look at your template letter.
He has been banned charged and sentenced so looks like the fund will deal with me.
Lets hope it will be good news once again thanks
