I'm sorry to not get in touch sooner but we have been inundated with telephone calls and emails.

We do not have your card details and ask you to make your payment to is by bank account with your name as reference.

We now have acquired the loanbook and no interest or charges have been applied by us.

Can you please advise when payment will be made?

FYI folks have spoken with Mark at Hilton Law. He clarified that Hilton Law do NOT act for Payday Overdraft but instead are the legal advisers to Micro Lend.

Hi, I'm the same position. Getting emails at work from an Andrew Hart asking me to call him at 4pm to discuss payment of loan. My loan payment was due on 20 March, I was not aware Micro lend had their licence suspended until they failed to take payment. Andrew states in his email the loan I had was for £500 , however I paid £220 off the capital and only owe £280. very stressed and dont know what to do.

Blinking heck been reading back through some emails he's sent people over last few years - this is one particularly pleasant one after a default judgment of £2k plus on an original £150 loan !......... looks like he's moved house since then.

How much did you borrow initially and what were the terms of the loan and the repayment schedule you were on with MicroLend ?

Did you deal with Microlend from your Work email address?

From what I remember reading on Cag, Andrew Hart is a particularly nasty individual (if it is the same Andrew Hart) who was full of threats . I will try to find some info

Still don't know if they appealed the suspension for definate but as they have passed on their loan book I think we can assume they havent.

I had 3 emails in my work inbox today from yesterday (as I had the day off work yesterday) along similar lines to those posted above and giving me bank details to make immediate payment . I haven't replied to those as I had already replied to the emails also received yesterday to my personal email acc.

I have seen and heard enough now. Do NOT pay anything to them until we have received confirmation from the OFT that the debts have been legally assigned and they are entitled to carry out collection activities.

EDIT: TO UPDATE 28/03/14

In the OFT’s view, a business is able to sell its loan book without holding a licence. We are aware that Micro Lend’s loan book has been purchased by Wage Payment and Payday Loans Limited (WPPLL), trading as Payday Overdraft. I can confirm that WPPLL holds consumer credit licence number 633083 and is licensed to carry out the activity of consumer credit, which includes offering credit to consumers and collecting its own debts, which now includes the debts purchased from Micro Lend.

Cancel any CPA/direct debit payments.

ANY contact from this man, his associates or companies, please forward details to admin@legalbeagles.info

I would advise also that any communications to and from should be in writing, not email, a written letter in the post. Do not respond to emails from them, that only verifies they have the correct email address.

If they telephone you, be firm and tell them you want all further communication in writing to the address provided in the original agreement, do not provide that address, if it has been legally assigned they will have it.

Remind them of their duties under OFT Debt collection guidelines which sets out the standards expected of ALL parties engaging in the recovery of consumer credit debts. I have attached a copy of the guidelines to this post, take time to read it in full, many of the guidelines are being breached here which calls PPWL's fitness into question.

I understand that written communication may be difficult for some, partner not being aware of the loan etc, but it is important.

I will call the OFT first thing tomorrow and update after that.
