There's a one going the rounds of a couple of business sites I belong to, particularly with regard to all the stupid phone calls we get. Turn the tables on them all by asking them to provide the password & they can then speak to the person concerned - doesn't half irritate them think its even better than the good old **** Off.

I like the psassword idea - we get asked enough, why not turn the tables around!!!

I often ask them if they fully understand & appreciate their obligations re the Data Protection Act 1995.

Hi every one, this is a copy of the email my friend received yesterday, any ideas of what she should do next. After the threat of a home visit, no one came.

Thank you for your recent email. Unfortunately we are unable to access your request. You still have an outstanding balance of £375.00 to Month End Money (Payday UK)We have tried to resolve this matter with you on several occasions, but we are still no closer to a resolution. Please note that we have sent a letter to you on 19/07/2013 and had no reply. We sent a letter to you again on 27/07/2013 but again we have had no reply. We also attached our letters to your email address which was sent on 19/07/2013 and 30/07/2013 and again on 02/08/2013. We had no reply to our requests. I would like to also point out that CRS are not in breach of any OFT guidelines. We are only required to hold the account if there is a reasonable dispute. So far there has been no reasonable dispute raised as to why this balance should not be paid. Our Colleague James even tried to discuss this with you on 02/08/2013 and you refused to supply details of the dispute
Please note that CRS can look at alternative methods of collection if this matter is not resolved.

Thinking about their alternative methods of collection, they are highly unlikely to go to court. Payday lenders tend not to expose themselves to the scrutiny of courts for some reason!

Effectively that leaves DCA's. If they pass the debt to a DCA it is happy days. Suddenly you are dealing with someone reasonable who will agree to a reasonable settlement.
