Re: Minicredit Payday loan Threats

      Well, well, well. My experience with MiniCredit is nothing short of this. A £100 loan now stands at over £600! They actually attempted to debit my dc (3) three times a day, starting with amount they wanted to take and then tried in small chunks to recoup missed payments until the bank became suspicious! The bank has a record of that and as far as I know, that is fraud. I cancelled the bank card straightaway and informed the bank. I then cancelled the contract almost immediately but they have been ignorant to respond, still sending threatening letters with default notices warning. I need some advice on how to prepare/defend my case legally when they take me to court. But I have ALL the proof which I've kept as soon as I became suspicious of their behaviour.

        As stated before, Mr hart is reluctant now to go to court since he got that bloody nose.It cost him a lot of money in costs. I will be more than happy to knock up a defence if needed to deal with this low life. And yes, it was me our friend Mr hart went up against

              Nope. I haven't, but what if they issue me with a default Notice (not default sums) on my credit file? Their last letter said they would and I want to stop that asap.

                if they issue a default notice then we will have 14 days to sort it. Their are so many thing we can hit them with but if they do put a default on your credit file after 14 days, we go to the FOS and THE ICO to get it removed as their practices are unlawful in that the default will be made up of unlawful charges

                  I aint worried about defending this in court against them if it ever got that far as the broken loads of laws in regards to this, so they dont stand a chance.

                  How do you stop a default? they have said they will issue one.

                  Oh and thanks Miliitant lol

                    Re: Minicredit Payday loan Threats

                    i applied for a minicredit loan last night, i was approved an offered an signed an agreement for £100. this mornin still no money in my account. then i got an email saying i been declined due to makin a few applications, i had never heard of them b4 last night, when i put to them they are in breach of contract they started gettin all funny with me, this is an email i recieved earlier from them.

                    The debit card details are verified with the £0.01 registration fee to make sure that the debit card is Yours and suitable for the repayment or other necessary payments taken regarding the Loan Agreement and the Terms and Conditions.

                    As we do not know exactly to what Bank account the debit card is registered to we also perform a Bank account check to see whether the Sort code and Account number match with Your full name and address.

                    All payments are taken from the debit card! Please contact Your Bank and make sure that the Bank has also reported that You have an account with them to Your Credit Reference.

                    Please visit Your MiniCredit account to read the Terms and Conditions.

                    The loan processing fee £2.50 was debited from Your debit card because You have applied for a loan more than once. First loan application is free.

                    It is also written on Your MiniCredit.co.uk account below the slider on the loan application that the loan process fee £2.50 will be taken when You send the application.

                    Please do not apply when You are told that You are not able to receive the loan to this specific Bank account.

                    According to the result of the Bank account check we are not able to issue a loan to that Bank account that does not match with Your full name and address.

                    Please apply again with another Bank account.

                    Kind regards

                      Write to your bank, revoking any continued payment authorisation that you may have given to MiniCredit.

                              MiniCredit's website is still up.

                              Representative 9,829.12% APR (variable), based on a credit limit of £400 and interest rate of 474.5% pa (variable). £19.50 drawdown fee deducted from each drawdown.

                              Annual Percentage Rate (APR) 5350.63%
                              The APR is calculated on the following assumptions:
                              - that credit is provided for a period of one year and the parties fulfil their obligations in accordance with the Agreement;
                              - that the credit limit is £1,200, which amount is drawn down immediately and repaid after 42 days in accordance with the payment period in the Agreement, with successive drawdowns and repayments of that amount on a similar basis, save that the final repayment shall be at the end of the period of one year and shall clear the balance of capital, interest and other charges;
                              - that interest and charges are applied accordingly and in accordance with the Agreement and that the interest rate and charges do not change.
                              On these same assumptions, the Total Amount Payable is £1,855.20
