Hey if you applied for a personal loan with an edited payslip but immediately cancelled your application, what’s the consequences

Being charged under the Fraud Act.

If discovered then the lender may make a fraud report to CIFAS which would put a marker on your credit file potentially stop you obtaining credit or at least lenders performing additional checks on any applications for the next 6 years. Also if a fraud marker shows up your bank could close your bank accounts if they felt it was an issue. Hopefully as you cancelled before any lending decision took place you can put it down to experience.
