Well done Ladidi. Don't worry about the rest of it now, just take the money and enjoy it. Sort the rest if and when the time comes. £4K now is loads more use to you than a lesser offer later on.... A bird in the hand....as they say.

NOW START PLANNING HOW TO SPEND IT!

    Congrats. Wendy xx

couldnt decide if to reply on PC or here lol so here for consitency

think Vox (on PC) means Abbey usually send a form to sign and send back - it wouldnt be valid anyway as they are breaching the waiver terms - but its always best to write your own.

You aren't counterclaiming anything later btw. When the test case is over, depending on the outcome you can put your legitimate claim into the bank for the remainder of the charges plus the 8% interest (which is outlined also by the waiver) and should be a pretty straightforward process.

At least you have 4k now - if the test case does go against then you have done bloody well, if its for then sorted go back for rest.

Onc you have received and cashed your cheque we'll bung a complaint into the FSA for Abbeys blatant disregard of the waiver.

    Hi Ladidi,

    A good decision.

Please please let us know how every step of this goes from now on.

Let us know if and how they respond to your email and feel free to ask if you are uncertain of anything or need advice at any stage.

We all want to see this go through to a succesful conclusion.

Keep that response email to exactly what Dan has written.

Celebrate when you actually receive the cheque.

    Best Regards Budgie

Half the reason I dont want them to pay it in there, figured If I got it they can wait for theirs like I had to wait for mine

Ok cheers Cetelco, Can I request they pay the money direct into my barclays account or would it better for me to demand a cheque payment?

Your reply needs to be succinct. Say no more than you need to.

Just this will be fine and we can deal with the balance as soon as the cheque has cleared.

    Dear (name)

Many thanks for your email. Please make the cheque payable to me at the above address.

    Kind regards

    Ladidi
