As far as I can tell but I'm no tax expert Winner, there were I believe a considerable amount of changes in the way benefits such as this made under Blair and Mc Broon which I think were a rip off.

It might well benefit to get a tax accountant to go over this figures Winner.

The plot thickens having reading up as per Nems very helpful instructions it may look like his fuel is the culprit it was a fuel card for business miles so he should have entered a figure in the expense box does anyone know if this is correct

Could he also use the fuel card to by fuel for personal use? He should not I think be taxed on fuel for business travel.

But he paid for this through paye as it was hardly any private miles
Also the fuel amount is the fuel card bill on the p11d

Yes that's what we think does he claim mileage per mile then sorry for all the questions it's as clear as mud on HMRC

HMRC even confuses itself I think! Does he hold records of business mileage and fuel receipts/ card payments.

It's quite strange never ever ran a company car like this before be glad if we can sort it he works somewhere else now with simpler tax and P11Ds
