    If a debt is settled full and final how is this recorded on a credit file please? Thanks

    Usually as settled. If it has been defaulted then it just reports the next one as a S then stops reporting, still only falls off the file 6 years after default.

      A full & final settlement is usually recorded on your credit file as partially settled or partially satisfied, see http://debtcamel.co.uk/ff-credit-record/ for details.
