Nemenis45. Oh my goodness. I wish the whole thing was a farce. Why have I got the exclusion order then and did you not see the reply from Asda regarding an underpayment of 29pence from their e-mail above. I don't know how to show a copy of the exclusion order but I will try and do it if you tell me how.

        Sorry I don't understand.
Sorry, it is that programme’ Don’t get mad get Dom’ where a chap called Dom fights for consumers. I am sure I saw a thread on here a few days ago saying he was looking for more cases to investigate. He is good and gets results. I will have a look through old threads and see if I can find it.

          Re: Shopping at Asda.

Thanks Paws I did do some shopping in Tesco on Friday so I am not completely stuck although I was a nervous wreck. Its just with me being blind in one eye I knew Asda like the back of my hand and all the staff knew me and it was not a problem for them to get me something if I could not find it. I live in the country and Asda is much closer than Tesco. We do not have the luxury of having Sainsbury close by and we don't have Waitrose or Aldi stores in Northern Ireland. All my friends shop in Asda and I miss the company of them as well. They are not exactly friends but shoppers who would go at the same time as me. I have friends that will collect shopping for me but it is hard to get it out of my head. Yesterday I was ironing with an iron I had bought in Asda. Cooking I am using Asda salt, gravy etc. Breakfast is Asda marmalade. The list goes on. It has made me feel really unwell all fo 29 pence.

Paws that answer was not for you. It was for that gentleman that said I was a farce. I don't really know how to work this site. I was replying to Nemenis45. Oh my goodness. Here we go. There is probably an easier way to provide a link but….well….I do my best!

Try not to let one bunch of over officious you-know-whats make you feel like this. You tell all your ASDA friends what has happened and hopefully they will vote with their feet. These little jobs worths are not good enough to carry your shopping never mind reap the benefit of your custom. They need the customer more than you need them. You will get over this but they will always be nasty little hair splitters who should be shamed and asked to explain to us all why they treated you like this.

Thanks Paws. My fellow shoppers wanted to start an on-line petition but I said know. I have had cancer and 2 heart attacks and my health woul;d not let me go through it. The constable dealing with the case will be back on duty on 10th September and maybe when I get that interview over maybe I will feel better. I am not looking smypathy I only posted to see if there was a way around this

I was not even spoken to quietly at the store. This happened at the front door for all fellow shoppers to see. One of the staff who had just finished his shift went in to the store for me and got me tbags and milk while others got me calmed down.

A Formal Complaint would compel them to investigate and respond within 56 days. Mark the letter Personal/ Private / Confidential.

My feelings would also be to get in touch with local newspapers can you see the headline " Asda Bars Pensioner of 29 Pence" on the front page of a paper Asda may well sell in the store.

Well that's 29 pence worth of self righteous clap trap beggars belief !!

A few weeks ago in Tesco store I used a self scanner and paid as usual with a debt card I was distracted after entering my pin took the card out of the reader and left the store as usual. A couple of days later one of the customer service staff aske to talk to me it seems the transaction had not been read by the machine and so had not taken payment for around Ł30 .00 I was asked to check my account to ensure that the payment had not gone through and get back to here once checked. Indeed no payment had been taken so payment was made end of story no fuss, no mangers, no security!!
If Asda were beyond reproach ( which they are not) there might be a small justification for its conduct here.

Just an upodate to let you know that I sent a letter on the 3rd September to Mr. Andy Clarke marked Private and Confifential but as yet have had no reply. I have asked Kati to show the letter I sent if she can take my name and address of it as I don't know how. No word from the Constable looking after my case either. Please excuse my handwriting if the letter is shown but I had to write it with one hand and hold a magnifying glass in the other.
