I despise The Leeds Losers more than any other DCA on the planet

That said they are the easiest to beat because they buy such rubbish

Unfortunately not always the case one has to be very careful with an organisation like
      the Lowell group.
This may lead others to be over confident, Lowell are winning a fair number of claims.

I suggest and e-mail or letter addresses the Chief Operating Officer Andrew Bartle requiring an explanation from him.

When a " creditor " supplies" internal data such as this it is supposed to supply an easily understood " key" to phrases and abbreviations used in the documents.

        Here is their reply...

        Hello Zoë,

        Thank you for your email.

I can advise that the ‘U’ in the statement for your former Bay Trading account (ref:2330268) is used internally and would not normally be displayed on a statement.

I apologise for the confusion that this has caused.

This account is currently being dealt with by our external company Fredrickson, I kindly ask that you contact them on the details below:

        Fredrickson International Limited
        PO Box 260
        Weybridge

        Telephone: 0203 147 8000

In addition, I can also see the following accounts:

        Lowell Reference Number: 10353559
        Client (Ref): Capital One (5460975710521431)
        Outstanding Balance: £399.46

        Lowell Reference Number:92788541
        Client (Ref): T-Mobile (96312704)
        Outstanding Balance: £350.74

        Lowell Reference Number:91664247
        Client (Ref): Sygma Card (5299323276010704)
        Outstanding Balance: £685.77

You should be aware that the period for recovering your debt by court action has expired, so we will not be issuing court proceedings to enforce payment. However, your debt still exists and legally we are within our rights to continue to ask you for repayment.

With this information in mind, please could you let me know how you wish to proceed.

Collections activity has been suspended for 14 days pending your response. Please note collections activity will resume after that time if no contact is made.

        Kind Regards,

        Pete

Also, I had every intention of attending the court next week but now have a funeral at the same time, do I put a letter in to the court explaining?

          Point taken nem

They bought shed loads of debts that they knew were unenforceable. They have also lost a helluva lot of cases that were contested

There were as usually far too many duff debts that were not contested just accepted and paid up, we unfortunately see a very small proportion of what is actual being processed by debt purchasers given the various " portfolios" held by each company unfortunately the chances are that more is collected without the faintest of challenges unenforceable or not.

I agree. I remember back in the day when I actually believed the Threat Monkeys from the DCAs. Thanks to continuous Harrassment from The Leeds Losers I fould places like this and OTR and realised they were empty threats. In doing so i have saved thousands

                Hi

Just wanted to update you, the hearing was yesterday but I couldn't attend as I was at a funeral.

I've just spoken to the court for the outcome and was advised it was struck out and no costs to me

Thank you for all the advice and support.
