Happy to give mediation a try but I have a funny feeling he isn't going to settle unless he gets the full amount he thinks he is owed!

Interestingly a review of his services has appeared on a search site, 1 out of 5 stars regarding his 'appalling service and attitude'!

Hi Clif.

Now that is interesting on his reputation might be worth down loading/printing copies and
send it to him " informally" stating if necessary you will submit the " evidence" of his poor
work/service to the court, suggesting politely of course that he might like to withdraw the claim.

mmm not sure that's a great plan [MENTION=55034]nemesis45[/MENTION] - I think keep your own camp spotless and there can be no comeback. Print it file it, collect other reviews as back up evidence for witness statement possibly later, but definitely do NOT go sending it to the other party suggesting he withdraw or you'll show it to the court. xxxxx

This " architect" is it seems a little free with claims that work has been done when it hasn't and has claimed that contemporaneous notes regarding phone calls will be produced under more or less the same cpnditions.

But I see your point of course!!
