Give the court a ring Monday and check with them if it has been stayed, then you could apply for it to be struck out after writing to the claimants to ask them to withdraw/discontinue etc.

I have had a notice of discontinuance. does the SB clock now revert to its status before the curt claim was issued or is the default due to stay on the crdit record for another 6 years?

No, there can only be one default per account and the original default date stands, so it should still drop off six years after it was recorded. It would be different if they'd got a CCJ, in which case the judgment would have been on record for a further six years.

The SBd clock does not relate directly to the default date on your credit file though, in some cases defaults are recorded later than they should and in others, people keep making payments or acknowledge the debt after defaulting.

Was the discontinuance a result of your strike out application?
