  • Old overdraft

Hello I recieved a letter from resolve call about a debt. I was in a bad way financially in 2008. I thought it was a credit card as there was limited detail. Turns out it was an overdraft which is now a lot of debt. I have no idea when it defaulted was in overdraft in 2007/8 and I know rules are differ for overdraft. Debt line told me to send a statement barred letter and not an SAR as that could restart it. If I am liable how would be the best way to reduce and work toward paying it. I'm unemployed with limited income

Have you had a reply to the 'statute barred' letter?

Then wait for the reply, if any.

Sending a SAR with you name and address asking for data, which they may or may not hold isn't going to restart the clock.
That's not an acknowledgment of the debt.
