I apologise if this is the wrong group to post this topic but I need some advice, I had a debt with hfc from 2007, a ccj was taken out on behalf of hfc in april 2008 by restons solicitors which included an entitlement of wages, I lost my job the following year and restons returned the debt to hfc in September 2009, I never received any letters regarding this ccj as all mail went to my previous addresses, but moneys were taken from my wages for around 12 months although I had no idea what it was going out for at the time. sometime later the debt was sold on to Lowells financial, and they took out a 2nd ccj in December 2014 via Lowells solicitors, again I knew nothing about this until judgement had been passed and I received a letter regarding this, and as I was afraid of bailiffs showing up I started making the monthly payments, but I didnt know about the original ccj at the time, I have now stopped the payments and sought out advice and have been told that the 2nd ccj doesn't stand as a 2nd ccj cant be taken out on the same debt, I've spoken with Lowells who claim the original ccj has passed and that the 2nd ccj is enforceable and that they wont put it aside, and I was told to post on here as there would be better advice to be had here, so basically i'm asking is the 2nd ccj enforceable or am I within my rights to withhold further payments based on the 2nd ccj having not have been served?
