My debt management firm has closed - what can I do?
If the debt management company you were dealing with is ceasing trading, it can be a very worrying time. You may not know what to do next, or who you can trust for advice. It’s important that you take immediate advice about your debts. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Money Advice Service (MAS) recommend that customers of recently closed debt management companies should contact a free debt advice provider for information and support, such as Stepchange.
If you think you have lost money
If the debt management company you're currently with is going into administration, the FCA should be able to put you in touch with the administrators overseeing the process. Please contact the FCA consumer helpline on 0800 111 6768 (Freephone)
