Never done this before, but looking for advice.
My husband had an accident was off work, then made redundant, so had to find another job, found another job that didn't pay as much so couldn't afford to pay mbna £250 per month, so phoned them, they cut the payments in half, was paying each month, still a strain but managed it. Then a letter from pra group came through the post asking for a dd to get set up, which i found strange as he was still paying mbna at this point.
Long story short paid pra off in feb this year and the same day or a day or so later the added a default to my husbands account. Is there anyway of getting this removed

PRA were paid off in February before PRA added a Default to your credit file? Can you see on the credit file the actual date of Default ? ( maybe look on Noddle or other free service ) It may be that they hadn't updated the file until it was paid off then put the backdated default on when updated to show it was settled. You should have had a notice from MBNA assigning the debt to PRA, and also a letter from MBNA stating that the account had been defaulted and was being sold/passed to PRA.

Mbna had also put a default on the file which they have now removed, pra have changed there default to 2010 started and paid in 2015. Pra had no default notices or anything else before this and to my knowledge had never recieved any letter telling us of the sold debt
