    Re: Debt Trouble

Bank charges are a bit dodgy to claim back at present cos of the test case. credit card charges not affected by the test case so concentrate on getting those back first. do one at a time. SAr them, get your statements then off you go. Crap One are dead easy to get charges back from, so if i were you I'd start with them first.

And do you really need to go to the gym? Working behind the bar will probably give you enough excercise lol. Or take the dog for a good long walk instead......there's loads of things to do to keep in shape (the BF might have a few ideas too lol!)

      Re: Debt Trouble

Thank you Wendy. I'm going to be looking for my statements for my credit cards and bank account so I can claim the charges back.
If I cannot find the statements can I download them?

        Re: Debt Trouble

Only if you're registered for online banking with the C/card company. And they only go back 6-12months online. You need all your statements from day 1 of the credit card, so will need to SAR them with a payment for £10 for each company.

I'm sorry, I'm a tad slow today. SAR? What does that mean?
Also, I have online banking with my bank and my credit cards.
Will it cost me £10 per statement?

              Re: Debt Trouble

Online will only go back 12 months at the most. You want ALL your statements from when you opened the bank account or credit card. You need to send SAR for each credit card and each bank. Do the credit cards first. and I would suggest doing them on at a time so its less confusing. do capital one first cos they are easy to get money back from.

Further to post 46 about the gym and walking the dog - you could earn extra money to pay off some debts as well! not sure what the going rate is where you live but round where I am dog walking charges are quite high! Also my niece and her boyfriend earn extra money and get a chance to get time to themselves by house/pet sitting while people are on holiday - even though they work as well. Once they had done it once the word spread they were reliable and they get quite a few jobs.
