Re: DCA's - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

    GO DEBT again

Issuing a Statutory Demand, and then when they have received £800 so the debt is now £307.12, saying no to withdrawing it, Williams Rhodes the boss not replying to emails, not answering calls, not replying to letters etc.
So now himself has to go sit in front of a judge on 13 May to apply for a set aside.

    PLANKS !!!!!!!!!

      Oh dear.
Well as there is no cause for the SD there, technically, is nothing to set aside.

I assume you have made representation to TS about this "people" ?

Curly you will love them, from what I've read on various forums they are probably the lowest of the low, in fact slyer than our old friends Cabot and Go Debt.

                      Sapphire makes a wonderful point.

One thing that none of them like is to be told that you are also recording the conversation for training purposes. They also don't like it when you turn around the "Data Protection" questions.

Maybe we should start recording the conversations (for training purposes), and post the recordings here for genuine training?

Not very nice. Kept telling me that I had reneged on the agreement by not paying what had been agreed. I kept sending them proof of the monthly payments and they would go away, for a few months and then would start all over again.

Horribly nice about the whole thing. They were so nice I felt I was being set up for some devious sting operation. But no, they were helpful till the end.

Ambrose Wilson C/O Reliable collections. They persistently call me 3 times a day including sat and sun and evenings, every letter they send they charge £12.00 so now I have sent them a SAR and rerported them to Trading Standards and FSA to assist. They will not get anything. These are sick people.

Have been having a nosy (not like me is it?) This little lot seem to be behaving rather badly, I am putting it here in case anyone has to deal with them

They are apparently phoning neighbours and family to ask them to pass a message onto you, also putting hand written notes through your door asking you to phone them. Very naughty imo.

Seem to specialise in SB debts. Send threatening letters and when they have no luck, they get HL Legal solicitors to send a few letters.

                                ME!!

Im a good guy... On visiting doorsteps unless offered no hassle payment as they admit the debt, ill normally make sure they are aware that theres a lot of help available online and at the CAB, i regularly encourage people in DMP's to look into making the arangements themselves to avoid the charges and cock ups, and make sure everyone with live energy/water arrears are aware of the trust funds and the other help available online or at CAB.
Anyone disputing a debt or with bad historys with OC, ill ask them to get it in writing and i personally provide them with prepaid envolopes back to the DCA offices.
Only one company i work for has made it to this thread
