            Where do I start?

Oh yes Kensingtons! If this is part of Kensington Mortgages it was them who forced us into selling our house - very, very nasty indeed. Even the CAB said they had NEVER agreed to compromise on an account. Horrible, evil company.

            Fredricksons - crap!

            Robinson Way terrible!

A new one to the list CRS - chasing me at the moment. Tolld them debt was in dispute and they weren't allowed to phone me. They told me if they wanted to phone then they would, but might give me a week to resolve any dispute. Phone calls all hours of the day (up to 11pm) and often twenty to thirty times a day alongside text messages and calls to mobiles. Kept them all as evidence and managed to record one of the conversations. Wish I'd known as much as I do now when they were heavily into me a couple of weeks back. Suddenly gone VERY quiet. Also the DCA I suspect of phoning my neighbours to ask if they knew me - three houses either side. All said they'd never heard of me lol!

Re: DCA's - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Here's one that might ring a bell.Having dealt with Sechiari,Clark & Mitchell for a very long time, paying a CCJ of £5 per month,I have had three occasions when I received a letter from them stating that due to not paying the £5 in accordance with the County Court Judgement, they will be seeking an order from the Courts to collect the remaining debt in full. However,I keep a spreadsheet with Dates,Amounts & Postal Order Numbers right from the beginning,so I now I have not defaulted.I have had to write back to this Company, suggesting that if this money is going missing, there maybe a FRAUD being executed and it may need to be looked into. What a surprise,on all three occasions,I have received a letter back stating that this was 'a clerical error, has been rectified & that they apologise for any inconvenience caused.'I am not frightened of these companies anymore, and I suggest all must do the same.

Documentation is everything, especially when dealing with DCA's and their hired help.

AIC - contacted my employers + neighbours but never wrote to me myself ! Repeated phone calls to employers, who refused to speak to them. They were reported to ICO + OFT, and now appear not to be trading.

'Outstanding Results Ltd' - a small one in Hampshire: repeatedly threatened bankruptcy on disputed (and small) debt. Told my legal reps the only reason I had not paid their 'clients' was that I had MH probs (untrue). They were threatened with defamation due to this and reported to OFT, who said they would be prosecuted for unlicensed operation, they held no valid CCL, a previous CCL had been violated. I won a settlement against their principals for harrasment (this being only one of several forms of harrasment from them) contrary to the Protection from Harrasment Act.
