  • Capital Resolve home visit

Hi, I have received a letter saying
    Notice of a home visit
we recently wrote to you requesting that you either pay the above overdue amount or contact us so that a resolution to this outstanding matter can be found.

We will now make arrangements for a Debt Recovery Officer to call at your property on the 16th January 2014 between 10am and 8pm. Please contact us if you want to make a specific appointment.

The debt is it says for £190, and this is the first correspondence I have received regarding this matter. I live in Scotland. Is there anything In should or shouldn't do?. Do you think they will call and if they do what are my rights. Thanks

Are you, or anyone else named on this letter? Was it delivered by hand, or by mail?

Do you believe that you might owe the money?

To whom was it owed and when was the debt incurred?

When did you last acknowledge it or last make a payment towards it?

They seem to be another debt purchase parasite.

Do you recall owing anything like that amount to anyone?

                          Re: Capital Resolve home visit

So there is doubt as to whether you are actually the debtor or the debt can be attributed to you? This means Capital Resolve is breaching OFT Debt Collection rules by their actions. You are fully within your rights to refuse to deal with these parasites and if one of their goons does turn up, they will be trespassing and liable to be removed as a trespasser.

Then Capital Resolve are on very dangerous ground, in the legal sense.
