Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and was hoping someone could help me. Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
i opened a student account at the end of 2007 beginning of 2008.
it had an overdraft of 1000 which I foolishly maxed out during my student days.
Lowell recently sent a letter to my mothers address asking for over 1600.
My mother understandably wants this sorted as it may affect her credit record with letters going to her and not me directly. I am not in a position to pay 1600 outright. And after doing a little bit of research it seems I might not have to pay anything at all - but what is the best way of doing this, and how can I get them to stop writing to my Mother?
help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
