    This is, of course, utter nonsense - see section 29 (7) - link - of the Limitation Act 1980.
    It's a common misconception, that there should be absolutely no communication for a debt to go SBd. Of course it's nonsense, otherwise they would just keep writing every year or so to keep the debt alive, that would totally defeat the purpose of having a Statute of Limitations in the first place!

      Thanks again to everyone for the responces on here. I have sent off a statute barred letter so hopefully "fingers crossed" they'll come to their senses and close this off now. A girl can hope!
