    Re: mackenzie hall

The reason why I'm anxious to settle the debt is because its having an adverse effect on my credit file.

I initially passed the case onto the FO as I became a victim of fraud but they upheld Barclays decision to hold me liable. So I am under the impression I have no further alternatives.....

Has anybody had a discounted settlement offer by debt agencies?

If agreed what effect does it have on your credit file?

I am very skeptical about this arrangement it sounds too good to be true. They sent me confirmation email detailing the agreement but I do not know what to do. I am aware that debt collection agencies normally operate outside the realms of OFT standards but on second thoughts if I decide to settle the discounted offer could that be the end of my debt issue?

Or could this be another cowboy tactic to get more money out of me???

So have BC assigned your debt to MH? "We can confirm our client will accept" means MH are acting on behalf of BC. If you're in a position to make BC a full & final offer then why not deal with them directly? Don't give MH the chance to get commision on a debt that's nothing to do with them.

Be careful here. Muck Hall do not actually say who their ''CLIENT'' is. You may well find that it actally is Muck Hall itself just like Lowell Financial refer to their client Lowell Portfolio. Same $hit company different names
