Hello all, I do hope someone can offer advice.
I have been receiving frequent answerphone messages from Equidebt for the last couple of months asking to speak to my adult son, who has just finished University but not living here at present. When I finally picked up one of these calls, they were unable to tell me why they wanted to speak to him, but that it was about a debt.
I asked them to write as no-one in my household owes money to anyone.
He has now received a letter - attached, which makes no sense at all. My son does not owe money to anyone, there is no clue what this so-called debt is for, we have never heard of Credit Resolutions Services and don't know what to do next.
It cannot be right that such a thing can come out of the blue with no explanation as to what it is about? We don't want to react in the wrong way , and wondered if there is a standard letter for this sort of situation? Or is it best to ignore and see what happens next (unnerving) ?
Many thanks for any help
