      Re: Blemain Finance

      As for teaching me anything then I still have a lot to learn, blemain are like a jigsaw puzzle, I may have more pieces than some but I am always looking for more to finish this puzzle.
      As for the underwriting sheet, then no I don’t have it YET, I will get it under CPR disclosure rules.
      As for the application form then that is a story on its own, I have the one I put in, and a second one with different incomes showing on it.

      Question for suffering,
      Are you still looking for information to prove sterling properties are linked to blemain group ?

            I think I remember you from another forum where you once posted asking for Plan B, you've come to the right place as she is here, :first: hopefully she will be able to work her magic and be of help.

                Hi jimmyq
                Sorry to hear you haven’t got them sorted, my case is stayed until march, then I have a case management hearing and proceed from there.

                Not worth complaining to the FLA about blemain, as the FLA is made up of members who pay the FLA , the FLA is there to protect its members and lobby the government on behalf of its members, I cant find any cases where the FLA has found a member to be doing anything wrong.

                  Some info on the FLA.............this part particularly.................

                  7.3 The existing legislation along with the FLA Lending Code and the OFT Debt Collection Guidance set out standards which FLA members must abide by. These offer significant protection to consumers and regulate the way in which FLA members deal with consumers in financial difficulties.

                    Re: Blemain Finance

                    This is how the FLA deal with members who pay no regard to the rules
                    I cant see where it says anything about altering agreements, paying back unfair charges, compensating consumers for unfair practices, or anything that would in fact help a consumer.

                    3.3 If members do not abide by the Code the Lending Code Group will suggest action that the FLA should take. This can include;
                    3.3.1 Visits;
                    3.3.2 Written warnings;
                    3.3.3 Requests for written explanations;
                    3.3.4 Meetings to discuss the non-compliance;
                    3.3.5 Expulsion from the FLA.

                      http://www.consumerfocus.org.uk/asse...rgelending.pdf

                      In our view, there should be scope for a lender’s failure to comply with the guidance to be taken into account in any ensuing court proceedings, by limiting the lender’s ability to repossess the borrower’s home. This is particularly important if lending has been irresponsible but an ‘unfair relationship’ under s140A Consumer Credit Act 1974 has not been found (as an unfair relationship finding would give the court considerable scope to intervene in the contract). We would add that we consider irresponsible lending to be a strong basis for finding that an unfair relationship existed between the lender and borrower in any court proceedings.
