  • Help dealing with Rockwell DCA

Well, to cut a long story short, when my debt's became unmanageable (in 2005) I began debt management and then eventually an IVA, but in 2009 I was made redundant and had to stop the payments on my IVA. I haven't heard anything from my IVA provider and when I tried to petition for bankruptcy I couldn't.

Recently, I started to get the usual letters from DCA's again. I'm used to ignoring them, but I have nobody to pass them on to now.
I managed to see a couple off when I asked them for proof of the debt. But Rockwell were the only ones to supply me with a copy of a credit agreement from 2005.

I just want to know the next step in dealing with them? They have given me 14 days for a repayment proposal?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob.

Hi Rob and welcome to Legal Beagles.

On what date was the last payment made on the credit agreement Rockwell have sent you?
Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

Hi, thanks. I find this site extremely useful!

I have no idea when the last payment would have been made, I'm thinking it would probably have been something to do with my IVA?
If that counts as a payment? If so, I'm not sure how much would have been paid to this specific debt.

Is there a way I can find out?

If they were included as part of your IVA then you would be a long way from SB'd. If you are satisfied that they have the right to collect on this debt then you could contact them with a repayment proposal. Are you in work now? Are you receiving any benefits?

Yes, I am in work now and receiving working tax credit, etc.

I have no idea what happened to my IVA? I don't want to make an offer just in case?
