            Re: Credit report

Got my credit report, just looked at it, a couple of accounts say closed, does that mean they are just taken over by debt collectors? but closed with the creditors, the account was from 2005,and can the Debt collector still chase me for it, there was a good reason i couldnt keep up with payments,
The credit card was MBNA and the interest on £1500 was £52 and the actual payment they were taking was only £5, it was interest free when i took it out, but when the interest free time ran out, the interest was ridiculous

RE; my last post about MBNA credit report says closed, i have just received a letter from Roxborough DCA asking for full amount, and if i dont pay they will send a doorstep caller
Any advice appreciated please, the letter sounds quite threatening,
I cant pay the full amout of corse, and because of my income and outgoings,as i said in my post anout creditor refusing my offer, all i was told to pay on that was £8 a month, no one can get any more out of me, just havent got it

Credit card, which i took out in 2005, but the interest was so high,i basically paid little off it as the interest was over £50 and the actual payment taken off my balance was only £5,the debt started at about £1500, it has now spiralled to £2.885
Also another debt on my credit report from 2004, just get occasional letters about

                    Re: Credit report

if im right.. im pretty sure i am.. they cannot do anything legal about a debt that has been unacknowledged for 6 years.

they definatly cannot send someone to your home, its illegal. but unacknowledge means from both sides. if you have not made a payment or heard from your creditor for 6 years or more its called statuate barred (spelling?) and legally it is harrasment if someone is to come out, personally if this debt is in that category, I would file it under B for Bin!

Thats what i was thinking, but just wanted another opinion, sorry, its Debt Managers ltd, [who keep ringing me and texting me] it says on behalf of Arrow, who have written to me before, not nice people either, [ Roxburghes are on behalf of M&S Money
Who say they will pursue it with or without my co-operation ]

                        Re: Credit report

personally i would let them come and sue them for breaking the law by harrassing you.

if there is no CCJ or court action in the last 6 years its a statuate barred debt, and they can not make any legal moves towards retriving the monies, they can write to you but phoning you is not allowed, if they ring you again tell them all contact must be made in writing.

then file it all under B

One of the debts is from 1998, which i had actually forgotten about, but having got my credit report found it on there, the MBNA is from 2005

both statuate barred... let them write to you and file the letters. they cant touch you.

If they persist contact the OFT regarding them harrassing you.

Debts are from earliest 1996-2006, all say default, and closed
