Thats all they can do is ask. Its entirely up to me how long I let them decimate the rain forests or continue to ring. At the minute I am choosing to ignore their bleating. I may decide to have some sport with them sometime

Relax, as they'll never do that.

Wood pulp for paper is made from commercially grown softwood which does not grow in any rain forest.

            Re: Capquest

            Hi all (update)
After capquest still ignoring my prove it (got more than one DCA chasing this one at the same time)they are now starting litigation proceeding from 2nd December they will not ask for the full amount at once and are willing to offer a 50% reduction and a nice MR Capquest will be handling my case once it goes to their solicitors so are they starting litigation or not surely they dont think Im that stupid

I had hoped the new OFT guidelines would stop some of this CR** appearing in my letterbox

              Re: Capquest

50% reduction means they know they have diddly squat. If they were confident of winning their court case they would have commenced litigation. Empty threats from empty heads

                Re: Capquest

Winner if they have made a clear threat of legal proceedings then you could send them a CPR request incorperated with the prove it letter,

that may give it a bit more kick up the jacksay and make them go away for a while until they pass it on to the next DCA

                  Re: Capquest

As ODC says, any offer of LARGE discount is an indication that they know they are on to a looser and are trying to cut and run.
All told, file them under I and wait for the next pond scum to settle to the surface..

                    Re: Capquest

If I had £1 for every time I've been offered a discount and £1 for every time I've been told by a DCA I'm being taken to court I would be very comfortably off and I imagine have around £3000-4000 literally from my collection of nasty letters.

I have never acknowledged or accepted a discount. I have never been taken to court.

Well 2nd December has come and gone and Capquest have decided to send a doorstep collector not bad considering last week I was going to be hit with litigation and their solicitors would be in touch looks like its back to the first set of letters again
SAVE THE RAINFORESTS maybe DCA are the cause of all the pollution in this world or should I say most of it
