Oh dear. I was kinda hoping SB would stand.

I guess I'll just have to let my MP deal with it and see what he can do.

Just rang MP to let him know what Fred's have said.

He is now going to contact JobcentrePlus and see if they have any proof of this so called crisis loan.

Well today I received a letter from my MP.
What a waste of space these people are.

Basically all MP has done is contacted Fred's and been told by Fred's that they are collecting an old crisis loan from 1998.

There is no mention in the letter from MP that they have contacted DWP like they told me they would.

Help on what to do next please guys

Push your MP to actually carry through with what they said they where going to do.

I'd simply ask them for a update on what the DWP has had to say about this..

MP's office finally got in touch and apologised for sending me the letter.
Aparently it was some part time office worker who never bothered looking at the case notes and just sent me Fred's response to them.

MP has written to Jobcentre Plus to find out what (if any) info they have for the alleged debt, and advised me to wait until they get back to me with Job centre Plus's reply.

Hi, all. i might annoy some VIP members by saying this but some info is incorrect.

DWP rules state can only claim for 7 years goes down soon, unless an investigation has been started and your informed of the investigation. Yes MP complaint is a good thing as takes priority. However, beaware that DWP and HMRC are now using barstools to collect. Igor and fred flintstone are nasty. note all calls do not phone do not write

Well, I just ignored them and it was sold on to thames credit who started from fresh but no default notice served.

If you dont believe you owe it them complain to DWP copy to MP and after 20 working days advise you are taking to ombudsman.

I think that is on the website.

DWP is part of HMRC, dont mention discsand missing

Spoke to MP's office today and have been told that Jobcentre plus have investigated my case and found that I owe the money.

That has to be the quickest investigation ever as when I spoke to MP's office on friday they said they were going to phone jobcentre plus and see if they had any information on this case.

Mp's secretary told me I had to pay it ASAP.
I told her I'm not paying anything until proof of the alleged debt is provided.

So she told me they would send a letter stating that I owe this money,
I asked her if she would pay money to me if I sent her a letter telling me she owed me £75 from over 10 years ago?

Her answer was ' well they say you owe it so you must pay it or else'
IDIOT!!!!!

Anyway still no further on yet. Not been given any info other than I was unemployed at the time of the alleged claim.

Hardly conclusive evidence that I had money from them!
