  • received letter from dlc this morning

    Dear Ben13

Client Hillesden Securities Ltd formerly Welscum
    Ref XXXXXX
    Balance Outstanding £XXXX.XX

We have made numerous attempts to contact you to agree a repayment program for this outstanding debt to no avail.

Your account is now being transferred to our Debt Surveillance Programme where regular reviews into your financial circumstances will be conducted to assess your suitability for litigation action.

We will continue to report your default to the credit reference agencies and may periodically instruct field agents to visit your property to assess your ability to pay.

It's not too late to prevent this, by contacting us on 0844 335 8498 to discuss repayment options.

Act now. This debt will not just go away.

    Yors sincerely

    Duncan Pierce
    Team Leader

Right, JBW were seen off with a stat barred letter regarding this back in july 09.

Whats the best way to handle this then guys?

    Wellllllll.
DCA acting for another DCA so file it.
First letter, I assume, so double file it.

So all in all File it for now and respond if they can be bothered to write again.
You KNOW they have nothing to stand on, so why not have a little fun with them.

You could always try this approach later on: CB Vs Thames Credit aka A Case Study - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum

right after looking through my files i've found that this is not the first time they've written to me.
dlc sent me a letter in 2008 which was quickly followed by a letter from ATI (aka JBW) and also muck hall.
Every single one of them has different client name and ref no but identical ammount (allegedly) owed.
Some of the letters say the client is Hillsden formerly welscum and other say Welcome (DLC).

      WTF is going on here?????

Defiantly file it then, they obviously don't know their neither regions from a hole in the ground.

Crispy are you insinuating that DCA's have brain cells?

Well the tea boy needs it as making tea is much harder than what the other clowns in DCA offices do!

and obviously they are very very very clever, if not telepathic, to conduct a review of your financial situation from the NIL info you have given them.......

Debt Surveillance Programme = shows them up for the threat monkeys they really are.

what I laugh about is the way DCAs refer to their OC paymasters as "our client" in correspondence.

er, Reality check: they are not "clients" because clients are what professionals have.

DCAs like to think of themselves as professional businesses but in truth they are parasites and for that reason I refuse to use the word client when referring to an OC. I always refer to them as "your customer."

In the same way Debt Surveillance Programme is a euphemism for debtor harrassment pogrom.
