  • Robinson Way / Lloyds TSB

    Hi All,

Gradually getting through things now I've found this forum and trying to sort 6 years of hiding from my debts.

I got a letter this morning from Robinson Way Ltd stating I owe Lloyds Bank £3125.17 and asking me to phone them. Needless to say I haven't!

What makes this interesting is that yesterday I got a copy of my credit report from Equifax. There are debts on there from Lloyds Bank, but nothing anything like this amount nor anything mentioning Robinson Way. The account number quoted also doesn't bear any resemblance to any account I ever had with Lloyds TSB.

As I'm so new to this, am I right in thinking the way forward is to write to Robinson Way (who I assume are a DCA for Lloyds TSB) with the Prove It letter? If so, presumably I send it just to them and not to Lloyds TSB, or do I send it to both?

All advice gratefully received. Already asked one company to write off a debt and am fighting back against bailiffs and the local council over an issue now resolved in their eyes, but about to come back to haunt them, regarding Council Tax and Bailiffs 3 years ago. Amazing what confidence a site like this can give you!

Thanks in advance for any advice on this one,

    David

Do I assume with 587 views and no replies I'm on the right track?

I'm intending to post the Prove It letter to Robinson Way on Tuesday (giving people on here a normal weekday to respond). If this is the wrong tack to take please let me know, similarly if you think my course of action is correct maybe you'd be kind enough to let me know, especially as to who I send it to - Robbers Way or Lloyds or both?

      Thanks,

      David (Caspar)

If this is the FIRST letter from RW&c then hold fire and wait for their next missive, otheriwse fire off a Prove It and see what, if anything, it turns up.

          Thanks Curlyben,

This isn't the first contact so will post off the prove it letter tomorrow. I'm right in thinking this is the onone they have 12 + 2 days to respond to aren't I?

            Nope,
Prove It is post #4 in the first link in my siggie.
While it isn't based on any statute law there's no time limits for response, but it makes them aware you know your rights.

As I somewhat lost track of things through burying my head in the sand for years (stupid - I know!!!!!) I've decided to wait and see if I hear from them again. Then I will send a prove it letter and take things from there.

Curlyben - I actually have three debts to Lloyds TSB, is there any way if they contact me again I can get them linked together, or am I best dealing with each individually. They're for varying amounts, but defaults are roughly the same give or take a few months.

It's unlikely they will be linked, as they have probable been "sold" to different DCA's in separate bundles.

No matter time to play things to YOUR tune and quit hiding from these "nice people".
