  • Ishimaru V DLC (Egg)

    Hello all,

    Hello all,

I think I should probably make my own thread as a paper trail is beginning to develop. DLC are after me for a debt I have with Egg card.

I sent a CCA request but DLC but they sent me my postal order back saying that I should ask Egg and not DLC.

I havenm't responded because I'm not sure how to respond but I just want to say something along the lines of "don't ever get in contact with me agaiin" as it strikes me as they don't have anything to do with the debt...

    How should I respond?

Now there's a surprise, a DCA claiming they don't have to supply the CCA.

In all honesty a simple prove It goes a long way.
Have a read of the first link in my siggie.

Ok I did that and DLC had sold it to Fredrickson, I sent the bemused letter and they have given it back to egg so I'm expecting DCA #3.

I wonder who it will be this time!

Right, well Fredrickson went quiet for a while and they have started up again with the phone calls.

Maybe send them another prove it letter and combine it with a telephone harrassment bog off letter they might think you forgot they dont have your agreement.

Thing is, it was originally in dispute with DLC. Still, it can't do much harm I guess Thanks

I think you should just write to Egg for it.

                My story...an uneggseptional tale

CapQuest collected under an AP for an Egg card for 4 years. I CCA'd CrappyQuest and they refused to send me a copy. They are I think obliged to at least send my letter to the OC for the CCA request under s75 CCA '74. But they didn't. They just sent it back with me plus my £1 postal order.

So I complained to Consumer Direct who referred it to TS. TS have told me that the OFT have issued new draft guidelines (Jan 2010) and these make clear that DCAs are under no obligation to supply a copy of the CCA. Only the OC (unless assigned/sold to the DCA). Mine wasn't, and I don't think yours has been either as its been passed back to Egg. TS also said that while they are refering the s75 breach (as it currently stands under the old 2003OFT guidelines that DCAs should forward the request on to the OC), they won't do anything else about it.

So, you're gonna have to write to Egg who will string you along a fair old way before they provide it.
