  • CIT Group/CCI Legal

Hi peeps, just thought I'd post this up as a word of warning.

We had an outstanding debt with Dell which was passed to CIT Group for collection who eventually sold it on to GoDebt (long story grrrrrrrrrr).
Anyways I digress, in July 2008 we settled the debt and have written confirmation that its settled.
A few weeks ago we received communications from CCI Legal stating that they now owned the debt and pay up or else etc etc. After a long chat with GoDebt I have found out CIT Group have made a MASSIVE cock up and have sold on thousands of settled debts to CCI Legal and apparently there could be others.

Be careful if you are contacted by any of these, make sure the debt is still outstanding and you havn't settled it and its been sold on again.
