      Re: Capquest trying it on?

I have been having a battle with RBS Advanta/Mint over a claim for a refund of charges and mis-sold PPI. I sen t a claim in and they responded by selling the debt to CapQuest. For 2 years we have had a wrangle over who should settle my claim - RBS said it was CapQuest's responsibility and CapQuest said it was RBS responsibility. In the meantime CapQuest got a default CCJ against me thanks to documents not being in Court, thanks to the Northampton Mailing Centre who lost them. (They were sent Recorded Delivery and were signed for). I applied to the Court to have the CCJ removed and for the defaults they had filed to be removed from the Credit Reference agencies. The Judge ordered the CCJ to be set aside and granted my application against CapQuest in full and their claim to be stuck out in full. The summary from the Court summarised this by saying "1. The Judgement was to be set aside and 2. The claim was to be struck out." RBS are refusing to remove the default notice on the Credit Reference agencies saying that the Judgement just said the claim was to be struck out and no reference was made to the CRA default removal. What can I do?

I Have to admit that I have to laugh when I hear the name CapQuest.

They will say anything to get money from people.

Anne McShane from CapQuest was stupid enough to put in writing to me claiming
my letters and cheques were being signed and sent from the Uk:although I was writing
from where I live and work in Taiwan!

hahaa. After I wrote and thanked her for putting her accusationsin writing they
mysteriously wrote off my debt and Anne never answers my emails anymore.

I have her mobile amd home numbers, so maybe she is expectimg a personal call
        Or possibly a doorstep collector?

But she gets all panicky when I call and ask for my payments back.
        Thanks!

It would appear that Anne McShane is still employed there. I have her latest contact details if she she requests a doorstep visit. You can visit her doorstep in the same way that I got my own collector to visit her. Although she never answered the door.
          Thanks!

I know that this is an old thread and that I probably won't get much of a response, but ...

Did it also ask the recipient to contact the sender at once if they do not receive the letter?

Nice quote, Clever Clogs. Just shows that writing English is not required to work for these morons!
