        Re: Need court/order explaining

I know this is not in anyway related to my thread but did not want to start a new thread just for one question.

My question is about county court judgments. I know that ccj's stay on your record for 6 years then after that they are wiped off. I had my credit report from experian last week and dated back to 1998, it contained the usual financial information, but no mention of any ccj registered against me.
I tried accessing the trust registry online and they do not have records going that far back. Is there any way of finding out if there was a ccj entered against me in 1999. The court do not have any record as it is over 6 years old, so is completely wiped off the planet that I ever had a ccj against me?

It is a long story but that is all the information I would like to find out if possible,

        thanks in advance

          Re: Need court/order explaining

I think that there will be records in some archive somewhere; but nothing that anyone looking you up will ever see. As far as you and any credit provider are concerned, I'm pretty sure you're "clean" from that particular angle.

Thanks stonelaughter, but its not anyone else looking to see its what I want to see. It is very important for me to find this information, do you have any idea where I could start please. Where do you think a record could be or where I could ask?

            thanks for your prompt response

              Re: Need court/order explaining

My credit record doesnt show a CCJ against me for 6k and resultant charge order from 2007 anywhere.

If its beyond the 6 years and wiped from the register and theres nothing on your credit record, then can you ask the people who had the CCJ against you?(in DPA form)

                Re: Need court/order explaining

Thanks ame I already have asked and he says he holds no information against me. Do the courts not have some special place where they keep copies or send them in storage somewhere?

                  Re: Need court/order explaining

When a bankruptcy order is made and someone is adjudged bankrupt does the order have to contain the amount the bankrupt person owes. I know the order will contain the bankrupts name and address but should it also contain how much they owe?

Anyone good at maths, I've been trying to do some sums and my minds going loopy trying to find out the answer. I would really appreciate any help. Should of listened to mum and carried on school hey

                    Question.

What is 60% of £4,756.42 please? And what is 40% of this number aswel?

                    thanks!

                      Re: Need court/order explaining

                      60% = £2853.85

                      40% = £1902.57

The way to calculate percentages is to simply divide the original amount by 100 (so £4,756.42 divided by 100 is £475.642) then multiply by the percentage you want eg. 60% is £475.642 x 60 which equals £2853.85 (rounded)

                          Re: Need court/order explaining

                          Or another way:

Think of 100% as one. So 60% of something is <something> times 0.6.

                          £4,756.42 x 0.6 = £2853.85
