    Hi all
I signed up for credit card 2006 ,was given 0% on balance transfer for 6 months ,once the 6 months was up the cash transactions rate on my card statement is 25.249%,but went I request my cca the rate for cash transaction is 20.540%, was wondering can they do this ?

On the first 6 months statements on the reverse does it show the interest rates as I assume the 0% was for balance transfers only.

It could have gone up in the intervening months, I think they also give you advanc notification of the rates rising.

Otherwise possibly the CCA could be from another period/agreement so not the correct one for your account.

      Hi Amethyst
thanks for coming back so quickly
After looking at my statements ,this was not for a balance transfer, this was for a cash transaction which i got after the 6 months ,the rate of 25.249% is on my statement from day 1

Sounds like the agreement, or at least the bit of it with the terms on may not be the correct one. Can you scan it in?

Looks correct to me. (ie direct copy of original)

The interest rate is incorrect then if it was stated as 25% odd on your first statement.

Going to ask someone else to pop in.

I had a quick look at the agreement, about halfway down the first column on page 1 it says "We can vary the interest rates charged now or in the future under condition 13". Would this be their get-out clause. Sorry, I couldn't see condition 13, couldn't get it to zoom in enough.

mmmm but before the first statement Wends ? and surely there has to be notification prior.

I believe condition 13 is in the supplementary terms (ie not on the agreement)
