Re: Nesta v Barclaycard (Visa and MC) **SUCCESS!**

    Hi all

Tools your letter worked brilliantly once they replied to it :reindeer:

Visa card - £960 refund of charges + £544.91 contractual interest
Mastercard - £816 refund of charges + 480.79 contractual interest

Both to be credited straight to my accounts, which is what I want as my aim was to reduce the debt. This reduces each card by about a third, woohoo!

You may notice a small difference in the visa figures as I reckoned it to be £40 more, 1 x £20 was an error on my part, and 1 x £20 was 1 month out of the 6 year time limit, so I can let those go I think.

Time to focus on the rest of the claims I'm working on...

Happy Christmas to you all and thanks for the support.

    Nesta x

Fantastic news Nesta, I am chuffed to bits for you.

I know that the money isn't actually in your hands for Christmas so doesn't help in that respect but... even so it is a nice feeling to know any debts you have are slowly disappearing.

Just assure me you wont spend on them again and end up in the same situation again.

I hope this is a good sign of things to come for you, now get cracking and get the rest sorted .

I hope this has added a little extra sparkle to your Christmas.

        Jules

Shame Nesta that they did not pay you up within the 9 days.

Fantastic news, excellent and well done.

Congrats Nesta, can I ask if once you sent the letter the account is in dispute until the matter is resolved?

nope, all cut up and I ain't spending on them again, once the balance is zero they are being closed :2w32gd1:

Interestingly I read on MSE that they Crap1 and others now keep the cards active once you've cleared them in the hope of clawing back their refunds through charges and interest... sneaky...
