Sounds as though Durkin is continuing with this case - Durkin v HFC. Anyone tried it? for interest.

Durkin has also posted a petition Legislate against banks defaulting disputed accounts Petition I think the wording is too anarchic to get a proper following and response but the thoughts behind it are good.

Banks have a nasty habit to hold people to ransom for money that they don't owe.

When working in conjunction with high street retailers they are fraudulently processing accounts for goods that don't conform to contract.

Knowing goods have been returned unfit for purpose, banks attempt to extort money from their victims,with the threat of a default.

If the victim refuses to pay the ransom, knowing their victims could easily defend themselves in court, they instead choose to maliciously default the account, annihilating the creditworthiness of it's victim.

The victim cannot borrow to buy a family home and in a rising market (will come again) will never be able to buy if reparation is unavailable.

So far the banks have had very few claims for reparation as it is too difficult to bring an action. This is likely to change once the first claim is allowed by the UK Supreme Court. It's taken 13 years so far.

The case will likely be known as one of the UK Supreme Court's greatest "no-brainers"!

Finally, the banks will be brought to justice.

Watch out for Durkin v DSG & HFC. They've had it coming.
