Deleted credit agreement summary

Equifax have just informed me that a credit agreement has been deleted from my credit file. Why does that happen ?

Usually because it's been on there for six years.

Can also happen when a debt is being sold on, so the old record is being removed to be (perhaps) replaced by one from the purchaser in a few days time.
