A friend of mine would like to check their credit file and has been told that Noddle will allow you to obtain a report, free for life. My question is, does anyone know if this company is reputable please before she goes ahead?

Edit: Link removed as it had 'Personal Loan recommendation' in the link

    Re: Noddle

It's run by CallCredit, so totally legit.

You only get the online report updated from Callcredit's database once per month, so it's not a "live" service.

Still, I've found it to be very good considering it's free.

        Re: Noddle

They are legit i use them myself along with the others CRA's. Though the report may not show all notices or financial accounts as not all creditors or DCA's bother with call credit and instead stick to experian etc.

An extremely useful post, and something I'd never come across.

A little caveat though, without going into details, it is not always a good idea for people to access their credit report.

Can I ask why it might not be a good idea?

                  Re: Noddle

Updating address details on your credit report (which you have to do if you apply for the statutory report) if you have moved / changed name etc it could lead to nudging any previously quiet DCA's into bugging you again. I prefer to keep an eye on things though, it depends on your priorities, recently mine showed up my ex husband ran a bit of a debt up on an old joint account, so got that sorted pronto and getting the financial association fixed.

I don't know anything about this Noddle service. Is it still running?

Yep, still running. Still free if you avoid paying for the unnecessary extras.

I've just signed up for it today but there is a question. A CCJ is showing but there is no name of creditor and I cant remeber who it is from where can I get these details?

Contact the court named against the judgement record. They are the only ones who can give you that info.
