Peugeot's Customer Services Department would be a good place to start. If the dealer is a main dealer, make sure you mention the main dealer's name and trading address. If it is an independent garage which carries out work and is "Peugeot Approved", again, make sure you mention the name of the garage and trading address.

      Hope this helps.

They are taking you for a ride.

My recomendations, get your car assessed independently, depending on the report, alert your local trading standards, and make a claim.

At the mo, get your car independently asses by an approved dealer. suggesting a gear box replacement at 6k is not just tugging your leg, its pulling it off. You recondition gearboxes 90% of the time. All what you described sounds like a fluid pressure problem. If you see no signs of leaks on your drive. its probably a sensor problem not reading the correct gearbox pressures.

I would not buy a car off these.

Thanks for the advice, I am calling a garage that I have been given the number too whom specialise in automatic gear boxes,
I have just brought a car from them but luckily it came from a different branch not the same one,

I really don't think this dealer or should say the mechanics there know how to do autos as we took one of the cars out for a test drive that they have for sale and it drove worse than mine, the gear changes were awful and it also rolled backwards when on a slight incline know having had a few autos non of mine have ever rolled ,oh plus the fact that when they spoke to my hubby yesterday they actually said you might be better off taking it to a garage for autos,, deeerr that to me is an admission that they don't know what they are doing,

I'm calling Peugeot UK this morning plus the other garage just to find out how they would charge to read it as I am seriously unable to spend anymore money on this car, I will take it from there after speaking to them, if it's the usual £70 I will have to pay for it to be read as I don't want them thinking they have gotten away with ripping me off

Re: Car problems? Who should pay?

So I spoke to Peugeot UK and they told me in the first instance I need to take it up with the dealership principle, so I called him but he wasn't there, so I asked for the complaints department,
Ive spoken to a lovely guy at the complaints who is for all of the dealerships and explained my story to him, let's just say he wasn't impressed especially after I told him about the other car that we test drove that they are trying to sell, he is speaking to the dealership manager himself and the manager is supposed to be calling me back to see if we can sort anything out and Oliver is going to call me in a day or two to check up on things is fingers crossed something will be sorted,
If I don't get any where I have to call Peugeot UK back up,

so watch this space and I will be back to u after I have received the phone call, x

Re: Car problems? Who should pay?

I've just spoken to the guy in the complaints department and he has said what I thought they was gonna say,
it has been a different fault each time I've taken it in to them and they have fixed each fault each time as far as they are concerned, to which I replied as far as I'm concerned they haven't because I have had the same problem with it each time it has gone into them no matter what the read outs are, but he wasn't budging he just kept saying the same thing over and over,
so I guess I now have to ring Peugeot UK up and see if they can do anything for me, plus I asked him about the other car they are trying to sell that is a bag of siht and he said that they have said that it will be repaired if someone chooses to buy it and it is of no concern of mine (charming),

              Any thoughts anyone x
