my credit card debt was passed to a dca and the have been calling harrassing me for payments and threatening to take me to court. during 1 conversation i asked them if they had a valid signed credit agreement to whick they replied the didnt and i would have to write to the cc company to ask for it. is this normal or should the cc company have passed this on? if so is it an indication that there isnt one as we dont remember signing one?

Re: dca passing the buck?
i have read and found the guide very helpful but my problem is that during a telephone conversation the dca told me they arent given the credit agreement and its held with the credit card company. do i just fire off the letter to the dca or to the cc company?

The DCA have to get it from the creditor if they don't hold it.#staysafestayhome

Re: dca passing the buck?
newman debt collection agents are the company. should i send them a letter asking for the signed credit agreement and hope they go into default after the 12 working days or should i ignore as they told me they dont have it and without it they cant take me to court.

Re: dca passing the buck?
Make it official and put in the CCA request.
This gives you a solid defence if they attempt anything further.
