  • Lowell default removal from credit reference agencies

    hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has similar situation.

Back in 2017 February default was added by Lowell. I still was paying to Very and Very never has informed they have sold my debt. 6 months later I received letter from Lowell stating to contact them which I did. Agreed to pay. Now is settled and closed however default sits on my account.

I also noticed that Very did not close my account and I still had credit limit available. After spotting this I requested to close my account last month (August).

Is there any way to request from Lowell to remove default? As Very/Shop Direct never added default in the first place and account remained open where Lowell was paid off?

    Any advise is much appreciated.

    thank you

    Hi there

Can i double check if you failed to make payments to Very? and if so, did you agree a payment arrangement with them when you fell into difficulty? and did Lowells or Very give you notice that one of them may well add a default to your credit file?

getting defaults removed can be tricky, so much depends on the individual facts of your case as to whether you can get the default removed or not
