Most banks are closed on bank holidays.



August Bank Holiday 2015 – Bank Opening Times
Most Bank Branches will be CLOSED on Monday 31st August. However see listing below for individual banks ( eg. Metro is open 11-5 on Monday – Barclays have some of their city centre branches open Monday )
Branches that open on a Saturday will be open as normal.
28th Friday – Normal Opening Hours
29th Saturday – Normal Opening hours for Saturday Branches
30th Sunday – CLOSED ( or Normal hours for Sunday Branches)
31st August- BANK HOLIDAY Monday – CLOSED
1st September – Normal Opening Hours

Online services will be available as normal through the August Bank Holiday period with the standard daily cut-off times applying as normal.
BENEFIT PAYMENTS THAT WOULD USUALLY ARRIVE ON MONDAY WILL ARRIVE ON FRIDAY INSTEAD.

Lloyds Bank Branches Closed on Bank Holiday Monday. Online services available but Same day value Transfers, CHAPS and Faster Payments can be instructed but any submitted on 31st August will not be processed until 1st September. Normal service will be resumed on Tuesday 1st September at 08:00am.

Metro Bank Branches will be open on Monday 31st August Bank Holiday from 11am to 5pm. They are open 7 days a week, 362 days a year. They are only closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.

Barclays Bank Main city branches will be opening Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 2pm. Most other branches will be closed.
