    hi everyone

been fighting barc card for two years now put in 5 complaints by letters and visiting branch 4 times get letters back saying they are looking into my requests, but never on time.

These so called guaranteed payments told to cancel these they have not still letting these trans go through even thou barclays as admitted they will cease payment of these by writing to merchant banker I have this in writing.

Taken credit card of me with no warning after being a loyal customer since 1998 do they have to send me a signed agreement for me to sign and send back to authourise them to take my card they have not.

They have put 2 defaults on my credit file for going overdrawn by pitence money.

This only happened when they were paying guarenteed payments they just kept piling on charges for unpaid referral fees when their was no money in my account due to me finishing work through ill health they also knew this.

One default for barc card current account one for loan taken out 2008 with ppi added they sent me a breakdown of ppi I won my case for this but, they are only paying my prems back plus a good will gesture of 8% I had to decline this because i roughly figured it out they owned me double what they offered me even without 8% added.

Still owe them money on this account barcs have not contacted me to pay only by statements adding more charges on, the ppi money not heard any more from this issue told them to send me check not to put money in my current account.

They agreed to this but had to sign so they could reschedule loan as i said to them not reschedule loan for the amount of ppi they are offering me they added £1000s on my ppi policy and are trying to offer me a sum in the £300 bracket this is unfair surly.

Don't know what to do now probably lost ppi now anyway how do I clear defaults on my credit file from these and get my card back because I would certainly find it hard to open another bank account any suggests who would give me an account.

Banks are built institutions so peoples money is safe how can it be when high street backs are ripping off customers stated by secretary of state V**** C****.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi and Welcome to Beagles,

I'm sorry I can't help you with most of your problem but with regards to opening another account I would suggest that you apply for a Nationwide Flex account, it has all the advantages of a 'normal' account, except you don't get a chq book. But you do get a cash card and you can pay your bills via BACS and you can do direct debits etc.

Once you have another account I would then have wages/benefits etc paid into there and you can start afresh leaving you able to deal with your problems with Barclays more efficiently.

Re the other problems I have flagged up your post for some help.

Hiya, apologies your post is a little confusing.

      You have

      1) Bank Account with Barclays
      2) Credit Card with Barclays
      3) Loan and PPI with Barclays

Can you spell out the issue with each different product. I appreciate they may all be linked in someway (eg paying the loan from the account, paying the card from the account etc) but each needs to be handled seperately. Then we should have a better idea of whats going on and be able to assist.

      Thanks

      Ame
      xx
