N1 Claim Form

Hi Everyone,

I've just managed to complete my spreadsheet (special thanks to Iancognito and Simian) and am now in the process of completing the N1 form. On the N1 form guideline/example it says in point 5. says ...."and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgment or settlement at a daily rate of £xx.xx per day." What is this rate?

Plus in the Claim Value section i have got the following costs/totals (is this correct)?

Disproportionate Charges
Interest under s.69 County Courts Act 1984 £xxx.xx
Court Fees:
Claim Total:

This is your charges and overdraft interest if you are claiming it x 0.00022

Hiya, I'm only claiming the bank charges not the overdraft interest - so how do I complete that section?

Apologies - I'm confused!!! Just to be clear - I'm claiming the charges and the 8% interest.

If you're not claiming overdraft interest then it is just your charges x 0.00022

Is this calculation correct?

Hi Amy, Thanks for your reply (only just realised that you did) - My total charges excl. interest is £7,245 - I've multiplied it by 0.00022 and the result is 1.5939 (on the calculator). Does that mean that the daily rate is £1.59 per day? Please excuse the ignorance - maths has never been one of my favourite subjects!

Filed in Court at Last!

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know that I filed in court last week Friday. The clerk told me that 99% of people who have claimed have won! There was only one case which was thrown out and that was because of a technicality - apparently the claimant did not do something they were supposed to have done. We all need to make sure that we dot our i's and cross our t's. Unfortunately, could not find out more - needed to get back to work.

Hope this encourages people to continue with their claims!
