      Hi all, just got in from work and checked in, you have all been so busy and its very much appreciated!! Is this letter now ready for me to send? Ame I have opened the spreadsheet and it seems to be the one I sent you?

          The spready should be right, should have the amounts in interest column rather than MACRO and nothing in centre column for description

            Hi Ame, the centre column is empty but the statutory interest box says "name" in it (no figures as does the interest + charges box?? The only box that has the figure of £4,890 is the total of charges box??

              Are you opening it with Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Ruby?

                Open office, excell will open as "a read only file", I am very thick when it comes to computers, sorry.

                      OK good, had a feeling this may be the problem.

                      The new 2009 version will open Excel files and all versions of Word documents, e.g docx

                        Right I have tried what PKea suggested now will download the new Open office version, will let you know how i go on.
