  • Newbie here claiming against barclays

Hi peeps quick run down last year I managed to claim half of 6 years worth of charges back from Barclay's. Since then I have managed to accrue another 1095.00 pounds worth. I know I should have learned my lesson but with 2 kids and being self employed and with people paying late etc I have really struggled. Today I have sent a letter asking for a refund under the hardship ruling. Do any of you know if Barclay's are still paying out or even stopping further charges. My account is over its overdraft and I'm in trouble and sinking fast. Any advice would be greatly received, I feel I may need a few shoulders to cry on in the next few months

Hi Cash (well ~i can't really call you Cow lol)

Welcome to Beagles. I'm not sure what Barclays are doing tbh with regards hardship cases.

Okay when did you get the refund of half your six years charges ? Was it after July 26th....

On what basis do you feel you qualify for hardship status? I assume you are still using the same account.

How much is your overdraft and whats your balance ?

Have you spoken to the bank about your overdraft and charges ?

Do you have the personal reserve on your account?

Sorry for the questions just best to get as much info now - if you have a copy of the letter you send claiming hardship then that would assist too.
