Cap quest have taken over debts from bank last payment was March 2009 through the years of had numerous letters does this affect statute barred

No, Statute Barred isn't affected by your debt having been sold on, so your six years continues to run from March/April 2009 so long as there has been no acknowledgement of the debt.
